The squeeze-grip plate may fall inside the case when this happens, because it is meant to be detached from its magnetic doc for cleaning. Remove squeeze-grip plate from inside of case. Wash each section with Main Squeeze Toy Cleaner or mild soap and warm water and allow to air dry completely before storage/reassembly.
